Hi! My name is Kai -
I am a personal development and life action coach. I work with successful individuals to uncover the next series of steps in their lives, helping them get unstuck from their current place to where they want to be in life. Most importantly, I provide the accountability and motivation that is needed which allows each individual that I work with to begin “Defining Their Dash.”
How did I get here you might be asking?
Well, at one point a few years ago I was sitting on top of the world…or at least that is what someone from outside looking in would have thought. I had a great job, a girlfriend that was crazy about me and everything seemed like it was going perfect. BUT, I was completely and utterly unhappy on the inside. Truth be told, I wasn’t in a relationship with the person that I actually wanted to be with and my job had become so demanding that I rarely had time for a life outside of work. I had stopped living and was systematically going through life. I was stuck and unhappy, but knew no way out of my trap.
Then it happened -
In a period of time between November and July, my world as I knew it came crashing down. My relationship blew up and my father passed away. These two events hit me pretty hard and were the cause of one of the darkest periods of my life. However, they also are responsible for one of the greatest (if not THE greatest) gifts…..my life. On June 23rd, 2012 I made a decision to stop taking my life for granted and a promise to myself, that I would live each day to the fullest and with no regrets. My father passed at the young age of 55, from a heart attack. While he had abused his body, his passing was a surprise to the entire family. A deep conversation with one of my closest friends about how short life is, followed up with a poster that he gave me to put in my room, created the catalyst for the next life steps. With the words, “If you don’t love your job, quit.” Playing over and over in my head, I typed up a message to myself. Which read – “On December 31st,2012 you will no longer be working at this job.” I KNEW there was more to life that I just was not experiencing and I’m happy to say I reached my goal early – December 7th, 2012 was my last day!
Since this day in December of 2012 –
I have been living and enjoying my life. Searching for answers to many questions, growing and healing and trying to be an inspiration for others who want to do the same. Ultimately, I have been DEFINING MY DASH and my life today is better than I could have ever imagined. I find it funny how life has come full circle for me. When I was a child all I wanted to do was be a therapist and coach basketball. My dream of being a therapist did not last past my first semester in college for a number of reasons. Because of this, most of my life I have felt a little bit lost. I knew deep down that helping others was my calling in life. Coaching young athletes playing sports became my passion in life. That in turn lead to coaching individuals on my staff team and inspiring them to be the best employees they could be. Today, I am so thankful to have been lead down a path that allows me to help others take ACTION, see the amazingness that is within and make huge POSITIVE changes in their lives. Let me help you to begin living and enjoying the life you deserve, the life defined by your dash!
